Paper tags aren’t just for embellishing junk journals. There are myriads of ways to create tags that add a special touch to your other homemade items like homemade food gifts, books and even cards.
When you spend a lot of time creating that handmade item a store bought package just won’t do.
You can buy precut tags and embellish them or you can make your own with a tag punch.
I use tags for:
- embellishing homemade gifts
- as a special touch for store bought gifts
- as meditation prompts
- to complement sentiments in cards
- as stand alone gifts
At right is a video showing some of the ways these tags can be used.
If you are an avid crafter ephemera can add up and too often becomes unused. Perhaps sometimes you just need a break from creating journal only items. That is the time to start thinking of other ways to use your talents.
How about a gift tree decorated with homemade tags? It would make a lovely centerpiece for the holidays and guests can take one home. You can make a pocket on the back to tuck candy in or just add the date and a nice little sentiment as a memento.

This video features items that can be purchased either here or in one of my others shops.
