These Hashi water soluble crayons have been a great addition to my mixed media supplies. They are easy to use, soft, creamy and vibrant. When applied they can be opaque or as translucent as desired offering a range of effects. They can be used dry or wet.  I found the overall blending ability to be consistent however some colors required more water and effort if a true wash effect similar to watercolors is desired. I love the ink like consistency when used on a damp or wet surface and the black is truly opaque. If opacity is important some colors may require more layers. Most colors were as expected.

The reviews for this product are comparable to higher priced brands and they are within a medium price range for 24 colors.

I didn’t not notice any oil bleed through or necessity for a fixative. They can be used on a variety of surfaces. 

I found this product to be user friendly with a simple learning curve that made creating with them fun from the start. I love the easy clean up and how well they complement watercolors. I also like how I can use them in place of messy mediums and get a similar result. They are fabulous for grab and go creativity.
