Watercolor Stencil Work
A watercolor demonstration on watercolor paper combining stencil techniques, loose application through stencils with a brush and stencil printing using a plastic doily. It’s best to work light to dark and to vary the pattern size of your stencils so I chose two small pattern stencils for my first light layer and a circle pattern for my medium layer and the doily for my darkest top layer. I’ll scan these and make some papers and in the future I’ll probably cut them down to make some small abstract paintings for framing, some postcards and some embellishments.
An update on video publish day, changing to Sundays and discussion about closing my Etsy shop in 2026 and why I am making this decision.
