Winter is a perfect time for reflective pauses in the daily routine. This is a year long project to watercolor stamp or freehand paint pages in a book of inspirational quotes. Gather some books or other paper ephemera, your favorite medium, some stamps and a warm drink for a creative interlude. By the end of the year you’ll have a new stack of ephemera that went from drab to delightful.

Add more charm to vintage paper ephemera like ledger papers or receipts. 

Printed ephemera is an easy to find item around the house or in thrift stores. Bingo cards, the inside page of greeting cards, old calendars or old checks can be transformed with some watercolor stamped or hand painted art and it will make a lovely addition to junk journals.
