Tie Dye Paper
Washable kid markers are a colorful resource for dying paper especially when you mimic the effects of tie dying. All you need are some washable markers, aluminum foil, a spray bottle filled with water, paper of your choice and a playful spirit.
Begin by tearing a large piece of aluminum foil, this will be your sheet for coloring on. Trace your paper if desired to create alignment marks. Choose your marker colors and just begin scribbling on your paper in circle shapes or any pattern. Lightly mist your foil and then place your paper on top to lift the design.
Experiment with other mediums like watercolor, acrylic markers or any other water soluble medium. If there is enough color left on your foil you can lift color a second time for softer designs and lighter colors and you can also pre-wet your paper.
For beautiful saturated colors and fun patterns and effects try tie dying paper with washable kid markers.
Happy paper crafting!
